Bovada Casino suits people who already bet sports at Bovada and want slots and table games in the same account, as long as they live in a state Bovada still accepts. The main drawbacks are that Bovada publishes no payout rates and names no lab that tests its games, no US state licenses it, and its casino bonus usually costs more to clear than it’s worth.

What you can play

Slots make up most of the casino. Bovada’s casino page puts the count at over 1,000 in one paragraph and over 470 in another, so it’s safest to say hundreds. Some slots carry progressive jackpots, which grow with a small cut of every bet. Bovada doesn’t say who makes its games.

The same page lists 17 blackjack games, 10 roulette games and 8 video poker games, plus craps. There are also more than 60 specialty games, including Plinko, keno, bingo, scratch cards and crash games. Thundercrash, one of the crash games, takes bets from 50 cents and can’t be played with bonus money.

On September 29, 2026, Bovada’s live casino lobby listed 50 blackjack tables, 10 VIP blackjack tables, 19 roulette tables and 15 baccarat tables, along with a few card games, lottery games and game shows. Bonus money can’t be used at live tables, and live play earns nothing toward a casino rollover or Rewards.

How Hot Drop Jackpots work

Hot Drop Jackpots are extra jackpots on some of Bovada’s slots, which you’ll find by choosing Hot Drop Jackpots at the top of the casino page. Bovada’s FAQ says you trigger the jackpot wheel by landing three jackpot symbols on a spin. There are three tiers:

  • Hourly: a three- to four-figure jackpot that drops every hour, on the hour.
  • Daily: drops before midnight each day, and both the amount and your chance of hitting it grow as the deadline nears. Bovada’s FAQ says midnight ET in one answer and midnight PT in another.
  • Epic: a progressive jackpot with no deadline. It keeps growing until someone wins it and can drop at any time.

Hot Drop games have no practice mode, and you can’t play them with bonus money. A jackpot win is added to your balance like any other win.

Payout rates and fairness

Bovada doesn’t publish a return-to-player (RTP) rate for any casino game. Its fairness page says it uses a random number generator (RNG) to decide outcomes, but it doesn’t name a testing lab or say who checks the games or how often.

In plain terms, you can’t compare Bovada’s games by how much they pay back, and you’re taking Bovada’s word that they work as designed, because it doesn’t point to any outside tester. If a game’s own info screen shows an RTP, that’s the best figure you’ll get.

A state-licensed casino answers to a regulator. In New Jersey, for example, the state’s own lab has to test and approve every online game before players can use it, and players can take complaints to the Division of Gaming Enforcement. Casino bonuses

New players can get a 100% match up to $1,000 on each of three deposits, or 125% up to $1,250 on each of three crypto deposits. Both come with a 25x rollover on the deposit plus the bonus, and one of Bovada’s pages says the second and third crypto deposits carry 50x.

With the 100% offer, a $500 deposit and $500 bonus mean $25,000 in slot bets before you can withdraw. Slot developer BGaming calls a 96% payback a common industry benchmark, which leaves the house 4%, and at that rate $25,000 in bets costs about $1,000 on average, twice the bonus.

What counts toward the rollover and Rewards

Slots and specialty games count in full toward a casino rollover, unless a game says otherwise. Table games count 20%, blackjack and video poker 10%, roulette and baccarat 5%, and double-deck blackjack 2%. Craps, single-deck and classic blackjack, the numbers game and live dealer games count for nothing, as do the titles on Bovada’s list of excluded games.

Rewards Points, which you can convert to bonus cash, are earned at different rates. Bovada’s Rewards page lists 3 points per $1 on slots, 15 on specialty games, 1.5 on video poker and 1 on table games, including blackjack. Live dealer games earn none. Neither do bets made with bonus money or locked funds, and a deposit bonus locks your deposit, releasing it gradually as you work through the rollover.

Deposits and withdrawals

  • Redeem a casino bonus code in the Rewards menu before you deposit. Only play after the code is redeemed counts toward its rollover.
  • The card bonus is spread over three deposits, and Bovada charges 15.9% or more on every card deposit after your first. Crypto deposits have no Bovada fee, and the bigger crypto bonus requires them anyway.
  • While a bonus is active, each casino bet is capped at 20% of your deposit.
  • Big wins come out in pieces. Bitcoin requests over $9,500 go out in installments every 3 days, and checks over $3,000 in $3,000 installments every 7 days.

Bovada says it doesn’t report winnings to tax authorities. Gambling winnings are still taxable income in the US.

Playing on your phone

There’s no Bovada app in the App Store or Google Play. The casino runs in your phone’s browser on iPhone and Android, and you can save the site to your home screen so it opens like an app. Our Bovada app guide explains how.

If your connection drops in the middle of a game, Bovada says the result is saved. Once you’re back online and logged in, you can pick up where you left off, and any win shows in your balance.

Is Bovada Casino legal?

Bovada is an offshore site. Its footer claims a license from the Union of the Comoros, state regulators name the operator as Harp Media B.V. of Curaçao, and no US state has licensed it. It turns away players in 19 states and Washington, DC, all listed in our guide to where Bovada is available.

Don’t try to get around that with a VPN. Bovada’s terms treat it as fraud, and the penalty is a closed account and a forfeited balance.

Seven states have legal online casinos overseen by a state regulator: Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and West Virginia. All seven are on Bovada’s blocked list, so if you live in one, a state-licensed casino is your legal option, and it comes with a regulator to complain to if a withdrawal or a game goes wrong. Maine has also passed a law allowing online casinos, but as of September 2026 its regulator was still writing the rules and none had opened.
