How to withdraw money from Bovada to Cash App: 2 ways

We earn a commission if you open a Bovada account through links on this page.

Bovada doesn’t offer Cash App as a withdrawal method, so there’s no direct way to send your winnings there. You can still get the money into Cash App two ways: sell your Bovada balance through MatchPay to a buyer who pays you on Cash App, or withdraw Bitcoin to your Cash App bitcoin address. MatchPay payouts start at $10, and Bovada’s Bitcoin minimum is $75.

Using MatchPay with Cash App

MatchPay is a peer-to-peer platform where you sell your Bovada balance to another user, who pays you through the app you pick. Cash App is one of the options, alongside PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay and Chime. Bovada says MatchPay transactions are free.

  1. Create a MatchPay account. You’ll confirm your email and phone number and choose a MatchPay ID and password.
  2. Make sure your Cash App account is set up to receive money before you start a trade.
  3. In Bovada, click the profile icon, then Withdraw, and choose MatchPay. Enter an amount from $10 to $2,000. You can make two MatchPay withdrawals a day.
  4. Bovada reviews the request, which takes about 24 to 48 hours. Once it’s approved, the money is held for you. Create an offer on MatchPay for all or part of it, with Cash App as the payment method.
  5. When a buyer takes your offer, they send the money to your Cash App. Check that it’s actually in your Cash App balance before you confirm the trade.

If a trade goes wrong, use the Report a Problem button in MatchPay’s trade chat. Bovada also warns about people posing as its staff who ask you to cancel a withdrawal and send the money to a username, which it says it never does. Our MatchPay guide walks through a full trade.

Withdrawing Bitcoin to Cash App

Cash App can receive bitcoin from outside wallets, at an on-chain address or over Lightning, so a regular Bitcoin (BTC) withdrawal from Bovada can go straight to it. Cash App says you’ll need to verify your identity before you can buy bitcoin, and that it may set minimums for bitcoin deposits. If you’re new to bitcoin on Cash App, set it up and finish any identity check it asks for before you request the withdrawal, and check your limits before moving a large amount.

  1. In Cash App, find your bitcoin deposit address and copy the regular on-chain address. Bovada lists Lightning as a separate withdrawal method.
  2. In Bovada, click the profile icon, then Withdraw, and choose Bitcoin.
  3. Paste the address into the Your Wallet Address field and enter an amount between $75 and $9,500.
  4. Click Request Withdrawal, then enter the verification code Bovada texts you.
  5. When the bitcoin arrives, you can keep it or sell it from Cash App’s Bitcoin tab. Sold bitcoin goes to your Cash App balance as dollars.

Bovada asks for a new wallet address for every withdrawal request. If Cash App shows the same address you gave Bovada last time, check with Bovada support before you request the withdrawal.

Bovada takes about 24 hours to approve a Bitcoin withdrawal and up to 24 more to send it. Cash App says on-chain bitcoin transfers can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, depending on network activity. Our withdrawal times guide has the full breakdown.

What selling the bitcoin costs

Bovada doesn’t charge for crypto withdrawals, but Cash App charges a fee when you sell bitcoin. Its fee page lists these rates for market buys and sells: 2% under $500, 1.5% from $500 to $999, 0.9% from $1,000 to $1,999 and nothing from $2,000 up. A spread of up to 0.75% can also be built into the price. On a $300 sale, 2% comes to $6 before any spread, and Cash App shows the fee before you confirm.

Bitcoin’s price can move between Bovada sending it and you selling it, so you may end up with more or less than you withdrew.

Send Bitcoin only

Bovada also pays out in Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Litecoin, Ethereum and USDT, and none of those can go to a Cash App bitcoin address. Cash App says sending an unsupported asset means a permanent loss. It added USDC stablecoin deposits in May 2026, but Bovada pays out in USDT, which is a different coin.

Bovada also lists Bitcoin Lightning withdrawals from $10, which Cash App can receive. Its help center doesn’t explain how they work, so ask support before trying one.

Cash App’s rule on gambling

Cash App’s Acceptable Use Policy lists gambling as a prohibited activity. The exception is legal activity with merchants that Cash App and its banking partners have approved, and Bovada isn’t licensed in any US state. Cash App says it has “absolute discretion” to act on a breach, up to suspending or terminating your use of the app, so moving Bovada money through it could put your account at risk.

Which route to use

MatchPay puts dollars straight into Cash App with no selling step, up to $2,000 at a time, as long as a buyer takes your offer. Bitcoin suits larger amounts and doesn’t rely on another player, but you pay Cash App’s fee to sell and carry the price risk until you do.

Either way, each deposit has to be wagered once before you can withdraw winnings, and money tied to a bonus is only released as you play through its rollover. If you’ve deposited by credit card, Bovada also needs a Credit Card Verification Form for each card, even for Bitcoin. Our guide to how Bovada pays out covers those checks, and our Bovada review covers the rest of the site.

Bovada says it doesn’t report winnings to tax authorities, but gambling winnings are still taxable income in the US. The IRS also treats crypto as property, so selling the bitcoin can mean another transaction to report on your return.

If you’re opening a Bovada account and plan to use Bitcoin, its crypto sports welcome bonus matches 75% of your deposit up to $750. It has a 5x rollover, and your deposit is locked with the bonus and released as you play it through.
