How do you place a parlay on Bovada? Steps, rules and payouts

We earn a commission if you open a Bovada account through links on this page.

Click between 2 and 16 lines to add them to your bet slip, open the Multiples tab, choose Parlay, enter your stake and click Place Bets. Every pick has to win for the parlay to pay. A tie drops that pick, and Bovada caps any single payout at $1,000,000.

Placing a parlay step by step

  1. Sign in and open the sportsbook. Go to the sport and games you want.
  2. Click each line you want to bet, such as a point spread, a moneyline or a total. Every click adds that pick to the bet slip. You need at least 2 picks and can add up to 16.
  3. At the top of the bet slip, switch from Singles to Multiples and pick Parlay. Multiples is also where you’ll find teasers and round robins.
  4. Type how much you want to risk, or how much you want to win. The slip shows the combined odds and works out the other number for you. The minimum bet at Bovada is $0.50.
  5. Check every pick, then click Place Bets. You’ll get a confirmation screen with a Wager Reference number. Bovada doesn’t let you cancel a bet once it’s accepted.

To take a pick off the slip, click the X next to it.

Bovada’s parlay rules

If one pick loses, the whole parlay loses. Bovada doesn’t pay part of a parlay.

A tie (a push) takes that pick out, and the parlay is paid on what’s left. Bovada’s example is a four-team parlay with two ties, which becomes a two-team parlay. A pick graded “No Action” drops out the same way. If one pick in a two-team parlay drops out, you’re left with a single bet on the other pick. If every pick pushes, you get your stake back.

Bovada also won’t accept picks in one parlay that depend on each other. You can’t combine:

  • a point spread and a moneyline on the same team in the same game
  • both sides of the same bet, such as both teams on the spread or the over and the under
  • a first-half or second-half line with the full-game version of the same line in the same game
  • an alternate line with any other market from the same game
  • baseball five-inning lines with other lines from the same game
  • props from the same game in a standard parlay (same-game parlays, covered below, are for that)

The $1,000,000 cap applies to every sportsbook bet, and Bovada says no payout will go over it “under any circumstances, including parlays.” Betting limits also vary by event, and Bovada’s book managers review requests to bet more than the limit.

How a parlay payout is worked out

The bet slip does the math, but it’s easy to check. Turn each price into a decimal multiplier. For minus odds, that’s 1 + 100 ÷ the odds, so -110 becomes 1.909. For plus odds, it’s 1 + the odds ÷ 100, so +130 becomes 2.30. Multiply the legs together, then multiply by your stake.

Say you bet $10 on a three-leg parlay:

PickOddsMultiplier
Favorite -3 on the spread-1101.909
Underdog on the moneyline (a different game)+1302.300
Over 44 points (a third game)-1101.909
Parlayabout +7388.383
Example prices only. 1.909 × 2.300 × 1.909 = 8.383.

If all three win, $10 × 8.383 returns $83.83, which is your $10 back plus $73.83 profit.

If the favorite wins by exactly 3, the spread pick pushes and drops out. The other two still have to win, and the payout becomes $10 × 2.300 × 1.909 = $43.91, or $33.91 profit.

Each leg you add also adds to the book’s edge. At -110, a pick needs to win 52.38% of the time to break even, in a parlay or on its own. If each pick were really a 50/50 shot, a single -110 bet would lose about 4.5 cents per dollar on average. A three-leg parlay of -110 picks pays about +596, and at 50% per pick it loses about 13 cents per dollar. Our guide to betting parlays goes further into this, and money lines explained covers reading the odds.

Same-game parlays

A same-game parlay (SGP) lets you stack several picks from one game into a single bet. Only selections marked with the SGP icon can go in one. Bovada offers them on some prematch NFL, NBA, WNBA and MLB markets and on English Premier League matches, not on live betting.

You can add up to 10 picks from the game. Because the picks are related, Bovada prices SGPs by how the results affect each other, so the odds usually won’t match what you’d get by multiplying the legs the way a standard parlay does. Cash out isn’t available on SGPs.

Parlay promotions right now

Bovada’s promotions page listed two parlay offers on September 29, 2026.

Parlay Insurance: if a parlay of 4 or more picks loses by exactly one pick, you get 20% of the stake you lost back as a cash credit, up to $100. The parlay has to pay at least +100 overall, every pick has to be -300 or longer (a parlay with a -400 favorite in it doesn’t qualify), and the stake has to be at least $1. Only spreads, two-way moneylines, totals and soccer three-way moneylines count, and all the games have to fall in the same Monday-to-Sunday week. Round robins, cashed-out bets and parlays with a push don’t qualify. The credit is paid on Mondays and carries a 12x sports rollover.

Same-game parlays with 4 or more picks earn double Rewards Points, win or lose, credited the following Monday. Parlays normally earn 15 points per $1 wagered.

Bovada says it can change or cancel these at any time, so check the promotions page before you count on one.

Before you place one, our parlay calculator shows what a parlay pays, the true odds and the house edge.

Bovada is an offshore sportsbook with no US state license, and it doesn’t accept players in 19 states and Washington, DC. If you live in a state with legal online sportsbooks, a state-licensed book gives you more protection, because it answers to a state regulator if something goes wrong.
